🚨No permit? No problem! As more and more hikes become permitted in National Parks, there are still SO many available options. Yes, I know BEST is relative, but after hiking nearly every major trail in each park, this is my list of favorites.

3️⃣ Canyonlands NP — Druid Arch

4️⃣ Capitol Reef NP — Cassidy Arch

5️⃣ Zion NP — Observation Point via East Mesa Trail

♻️ Now more than ever it’s important to follow the seven Leave No Trace Principles, pick up after yourself and others, be mindful of other’s experiences, and leave it better than you found it.

❓Did you know that Arches National Park in Moab has over 2000 arches and the highest concentration of anywhere in the world?

Out of thousands, these are my favorite (that actually have a name — my favorite isn’t named, doesn’t have an official trail to get there, and will never catch me posting 🤭 BUT for good reason, It’s surrounded by biologic crust and without a trail, cannot be protected)

♻️ Speaking of biologic crust — do you know how to visit responsibly?
• Educate yourself on the 7 LEAVE NO TRACE principles and abide by these recommendations during all activities.
• Stay off the crust and on the trails (or durable surfaces like slickrock and/or washes) — the crust is alive and an important part of our ecosystem.
• Be PATIENT and KIND with others.
• Be VOCAL if you see something harmful. If you educate others, do so in a kind and gentle way not to shame them.
• See litter? PACK IT OUT. Small actions from all visitors can make big impacts.
